Bone Idle opened its doors at the tail end of 2021 with a simple intention... to create a calm, welcoming space where people could slow down, feel comfortable, and truly be themselves.

Proudly independent & community-rooted, Bone Idle has grown into a grassroots venue shaped by the people who pass through it. It’s an inclusive safe space built on acceptance, creativity, and connection. Somewhere you can step away from the noise, whether that’s the outside world or a busy night out, and feel at ease exactly as you are.

Alongside great coffee, craft drinks, cocktails & a relaxed atmosphere, Bone Idle plays host to a range of community-led moments. From Record Club nights for vinyl lovers, spring & summer Skate Socials & Tarot evenings, to seasonal drinks that mark the rhythm of the year & bring people together.

It’s also a space to land during the day. With free WiFi, a quieter upstairs room for remote work, calls, or meetings, and an environment designed to feel unhurried, welcoming, and open to all.

Over the past 4 years, Bone Idle has become more than a coffee shop or bar. It’s an escape from the hustle & bustle. A quiet zone on busy nights out. A place to be exactly WHO YOU ARE.

Our Coffee

Unwind and relax with one of our freshly brewed coffees.
We ONLY use high quality, freshly ground beans (we also only use the best finely ground, rich Belgian chocolate in our mochas & hot chocolates!)

We created our own unique house blend using beans from Dark Woods Coffee's core range
"Deer Hill" & "Crow Tree".
We chose to use Crow Tree in our blend because every purchase helps towards funding THE CAFÉ FEMENINO PROJECT
This ground-breaking organisation supports women farmers & producers in what can be a challenging & male dominated industry. They are committed to ending the cycle of poverty affecting female coffee farmers across the globe.
